Expressing ourselves through clothing is what we as humans do. Even if you only wear sweats and clothes from your favorite value store because well, you have to wear something right? You don't really care as long as you're covered. That's an expression in itself. We can also (sometimes subconsciously) asses others by what they're wearing. Have you ever heard the term "You can tell a lot about a person by their shoes." ? I pretty much agree with this. Analyzing people's dressing choices is a hobby of mine. I like to see how accurate I am about a person...
It's one hot Mother this summer in Portland, almost too hot to bear some days, but we've been helping Portland citizens keep coolest in our flowy cotton pieces. Wovens are the best for breath-ability and ventilation in the heat-and when they're roomy, aaawhhhhhh even better. I don't care what new wick-away synthetics are introduced from athletic companies, it's good ole' cotton (and linen) baby! Especially when a girl's got style and class on her radar.
We're so thankful for these new designs and made one of each piece of the collection for ourselves. Available now in the shop.
On the second Sunday in June I packed my gigantic suitcase with much of my closet (the weather at the coast is pretty unpredictable this time of year so a girls' got to be prepared!), neatly filled my wicker laundry basket with art supplies, fabric, beads, embroidery necessities, inspirational things and books including some much needed hilarity via David Sedaris. I brought my laptop, foodstuff and even my caboodle. Yep, my caboodle. Thanks Mom!
